What a great place to get a good cup of coffee and breakfast. Take away is available but once you are here, you will want to sit and stay a while. Ulu café lives up to their Bali name with an amazing and relaxing outside area to sit and work or catch up with friends. Food is really good and the service is fast and efficient. Bathroom is available for customers. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a taste of Bali here in Pretoria 👌

My mom and I went to the Root Captial market and this coffee place was there. A little funny story to share - my mom saw the pistachio dream and decided to try it, now you must know her typical order is a cappuccino but she thought let me try something different. I was sceptical and wasn’t sure of this drink because I can’t do sweet freezos. She ordered one, and here is me with nothing yet, I didn’t know what I wanted. I said let me take a sip…EXCUSEEEE ME IM BACK SIR I CHANGED MY MIND CAN I HAVE ONE TOO. Let me tell you this was one of the best drinks I’ve ever tasted. I can’t even explain the taste. It was so creamy, nutty and not too sweet. I absolutely loved this, what a special moment & thank you for the person serving me with my ridiculous reaction and laughter of how yum it was.

Ulu Café in Menlo Park is a popular local spot known for its delicious smoothie bowls and excellent coffee. Their smoothie bowls are beautifully presented, packed with fresh fruit, granola, and superfood toppings—perfect for a nutritious and satisfying meal. Each bowl is vibrant, flavourful, and ideal for health-conscious diners. The coffee is just as impressive, made with care using quality beans and expertly brewed to bring out rich, balanced flavours. Whether you prefer a classic cappuccino or a smooth flat white, Ulu Café delivers. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a wholesome smoothie bowl alongside a perfectly crafted coffee.

Great experience! The food and drinks were very aesthetic. The vibe is so relaxed, music playing in the background. They also do have blankets, for when you feel cold. The smoothie bowls were delicious and it also has no added nasties, like syrups. If you aren’t that strict on the diet, their banana bread, loaded cookies and chocolate croissants looked divine. While the gentleman inside was extremely helpful and gave us excellent recommendations (which we loved), the only reason I rated the service 3 stars was because, the delivery of the food was a bit disorganised, orders were mixed up between tables and our dishes arrived confused. I would 100% recommend you to try it out.
